Martin and Tina are absolutely amazing. The chicharones were freaking amazing. We stopped in 2 days in a row just to see Martin work his magic. The wife bought some gear. We've seen this place change hands a couple times. But with these 2 at the helm. You've created the best place in Newport to be at. Cant wait to see you guys again!
Visited Newport for the first time and ended up at the Barge Inn on Saturday night! What a fun place! Super buzzy atmosphere and great service - we were able to find seats at the bar and while it was busy, service was quick and friendly. We had heard the burgers were great and ordered cheeseburgers - they did not disappoint! AMAZING! Completely yummy indulgent meal and I will need to rein in for a week or two after eating so well in Newport!! Great, great bar with a friendly crowd of locals and visitors. Highly recommend!
I didn't get a chance to eat here, but cook was making some great stuff while I watched. Bartenders were quick, made great drinks. Lots of room. Enough TVs to watch the game. I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. No judgements, just a great time. Thanks!
This was a great pit stop to make for lunch today! I ordered the side garden salad and although I didn't get a picture it was excellent. They used butter lettuce which was all hand cut and their in house made ranch was tasty. My Husband ordered the Bilge Burger the egg, patty and ham were a perfect pairing, warm and cooked properly and the bun was toasted just right. He got a side of tater tots which were also crispy and light.
A great little find on the Bayfront in Newport. The best Rueben sandwich for under 10 I've ever had. Drinks were great as well! Very cool place.
This is a great place on the coast for fast and reasonably priced food. I stopped in here with some friends for a quick bite. We grabbed some beers, fried cheese curds and tater tots. The cheese curds were hot and delicious, and the service was way faster than I expected. Staff were super friendly as well. I felt very welcomed during our short visit, and would definitely go back here again!
It was the only restaurant open past 9pm on Mother's Day, as we drove into town for the night. Our server was very sweet and helpful. She checked on us a couple times. The cook brought out our food and was nice too. I was happy they had a Plant based burger option! I was worried I wasn't going to get dinner. My husband enjoyed his regular burger. Tater tots and potatoes rounds were extra. The bar/restaurant was clean and bright. The only thing that bugged me was they kept their door open, so the cigarette smoke was coming in. So we moved tables, but it still followed. Other than that, we enjoyed our food and drinks.
Hearing that this was a fun place, we decided to eat here as we stayed in Newport . For a Friday early evening the place was busy but not overly crowded. The food was amazing and the portions were big. You got your money's worth here. The staff was very friendly. I thought the slogan on the back of the t-shirts was hilarious so I bought one and wore it the next day. We WILL be back as we travel to Newport a lot.
